Abstract

Intersection at Kebun Sayur- Residen H.Najamudin - Sako Baru Palembang which serves as the main street Kebun Sayur street, and then Residen H.Najamudin and Sako Baru which serves as a minor. Condition current intersection has no traffic signals so no traffic signs as a regulator at the intersection and decomposers congestion and narrow road conditions and traffic volumes are high and significant differences in the width of the road that makes the rider must be careful to avoid an accident and the  driver must have a high awareness in driving as well as to determine the direction of the road that should take precedence in order to avoid congestion denser. This study aimed to evaluate the performance at the intersection of Kebun Sayur - Resident H.Najamudin - Sako Baru Palembang existing and analyze traffic intersection traffic to alternative arrangements with methods MKJI 1997 and seek a solution by making a few tips scenarios use program VISSIM microsimulation 8.00 so as to get a good problem-solving. Based on calculations using the methods and developed scenarios, the best solution for the intersection is widening as well as setting traffic lights so that traffic more effectively and more regularly at a crossroads.
